4.5/5Jul 10, 2026

Best phone of 2026 and best camera phone of the year, though expensive, big and an enthusiast device rather than for everyone.

  • Outstanding camera system with dual 200MP Hasselblad sensors and 10x telephoto
  • Long battery life and fast charging
  • Smooth performance from Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5
  • Distinctive design with vegan leather back
  • Excellent, bright LTPO AMOLED display
  • Expensive at £1,449 and big, heavy build
  • Can get hot, especially when using camera
  • Quick Button placement uncomfortable; no physical shutter
  • Shorter software support than Samsung and Google

Oppo's Find X9 Ultra has the best cameras TechRadar has tested, with strong software, performance and battery, though it is large, heavy and expensive.

  • Probably the best cameras on any phone
  • Great performance and software
  • Big battery and fast charging
  • Amazing accessories
  • Excellent 144Hz OLED display with 2160Hz PWM dimming
  • Smaller battery than the X9 Pro
  • Teleconverter doesn't shoot RAW
  • Expensive at £1,449 for the UK model
  • Large and heavy at 236g
  • Not available in the United States

7/10Apr 21, 2026

A strong flagship with handsome design and a capable camera system, but its 10x telephoto lens is limited and arguably unnecessary.

  • Handsome two-panel retro camera-style design
  • Flagship specs across the board including Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5
  • Capable camera system with excellent main and 3x lenses
  • Large 7,050mAh battery lasts well past a full day
  • Best 10x telephoto lens of its kind, with larger sensor and f/3.5
  • 10x telephoto struggles with moving subjects and low light
  • Colour tuning inconsistent and out of step with other cameras
  • No Qi2 magnets
  • Expensive at about $1,960
  • Phone would be better without the 10x lens
